First stop – Lake Dusia

On September 3rd, 2021 we packed our things into our little home on wheels and left for the big roadtrip.

After an intense month converting and fixing the van in our hometown Panevezys (Lithuania) we were finally set off on the big adventure. For the first stop we decided to stay in Lithuania, near the Polish border. We knew we had to get to Slovakia by September 6th to hike in the High Tatras National Park with our friends. And spending the first night in Lithuania felt special, since it is both of our homecountry.

We arrived in the evening, it was only us, no one around. As soon as we parked it started to rain but that didn’t bother us we stayed inside playing card games. We played Agota’s grandparents favorite game – Karuse.

And the next morning the sun greeted us, we took a dip in the lake. This place was a also special to us since it was where Vytautas’ great grandmother grew up. She even used to bathe in the same lake!

It was a perfect start of the trip. Couldn’t be happier about it!
